Who We Are
St. Sophia and Stephanie Schools was conceptualized as a faith based educational institution. It is the first of its kind in the Lakowe – Ibeju – Lekki axis. It was also conceptualized as an evangelical institution with the goal of winning souls, through the practice of the catholic faith, doctrines and dogma.
It was also conceptualized with the educational system of Nigeria in mind which is skewed in favor of tertiary as opposed to vocational and skills acquisition education. It was conscious of the fact that there was not only a leadership but also an entrepreneur gap which were stunting the growth of the country.
The school believes that inherent in every child is or are God given talents, hidden, and only waiting to be released.
St. Sophia and Stephanie schools will discover and release these gifts for productive enterprise. Every child would be taught that the word “Impossible” does not exist and that they can do and achieve whatever they want only if they can dream it. The prison mentality, that mental blockage of their creatively will be opened.
The above cannot be achieved by the Schools alone. The education of children, every child begins with the home front. Parents have a role to play. The environment has a role to play. The community has a role to play. The school is conscious that just as there are inherent gifts within a child or children, there are also inherent gifts lying dormant within every parent, the environment and the community and its peoples.
